Earning gold in Guild Wars 2 can seem like a daunting venture. Especially if you’re a casual player or a new player, it can seem like everyone has more money than you, and thus must know some trade secrets that you don’t. And this might be true, to some extent. Especially when it comes to things like playing the trading post, there is a lot of secrecy. But other things are a little more accessible. This is going to try to cover them, in no particular order.
How can I tell how much money I’m making?
There’s a tool I’m fond of using, Guild Wars 2 Gold Per Hour, that utilizes the API to track what items and currencies your account has gained or lost, and uses that average to give you an estimation of how much gold per hour you’re earning. It’s great if you want a visualization of all the items that have dropped without having to keep it all in your inventory, or if you just really like graphs.
