To do the highest level Fractals, you need 150 AR. You can cheat this a little bit by getting +5 from Mistlock Singularities (but this effect disappears when you down – so you’ll be short!), or by buying the Anguished Tear of Alba (which grants 10-15 AR based on what level your Fractal Mastery is). However, the tears aren’t intended as a long-term solution, but more of a band-aid until you can get the correct AR – because they gradually increase in price until they cost 10s and 40 fractal relics apiece).

So, your ultimate goal should be to get full ascended armor, weapons, and trinkets, and slot them with a total of 150AR. Here are a few ways of achieving exactly 150 in a cost-efficient manner, depending on what you’re going for. Taken from the official wiki page.

The cheapest method uses 12 +8 Agony Infusions and 6 +9 Agony Infusions, with additional weapons (including your weapon swap set) taking another 1-2 +8 infusions.

Total: 3072 +1 Agony Infusions and ~45 gold worth of reagents.

The next cheapest method uses 8 +8 Agony Infusions and 8 +9 Agony Infusions, and 2 +7 Agony Infusions, with additional weapons (including your weapon swap set) taking another 1-2 +7 infusions. This is the best option for classes that have many (4+) weapons.

Total: 3200 +1 Agony Infusions and 47g worth of reagents

Agony Resist Guide - Multi-Weapon Alternative

This method requires 12 +9 Agony Infusions, and 6 +7 Agony Infusions, with additional weapons (including your weapon swap set) taking another 1-2 +7 infusions. This is the best option if you’re a min-maxer and want to use all 18 slots for attribute infusions.

Total for full attribute infusions: 10908 +1 Agony Infusions154g worth of reagents and 300 Integrated Fractal Matrices.

Hey, what armor is that?

It’s a mix-match, like all my characters. Here’s the GW2Style link, which has all the armor pieces and dyes used.
